Legal disclaimer

Not legal advice. Child Support Estimate provides general information and calculator estimates. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Accuracy limitations. Our calculators apply simplified versions of state child support guidelines. Actual court orders depend on judicial discretion, income verification, imputed income, deviation factors, and case-specific circumstances that no calculator can capture. Estimates may vary materially from official guideline worksheets and from a court's actual order.

Melson Formula states. Delaware, Hawaii, and Montana use the Melson Formula, which is unusually complex. Estimates for these states are highly simplified — use the official state worksheet or consult an attorney for any binding decision.

State law variation. Child support law changes. Percentages, schedules, self-support reserves, parenting-time thresholds, and add-on rules differ between states and over time. We update our data periodically but cannot guarantee currency at any given moment.

No affiliation. This site is not a law firm, not a court, and not affiliated with any government agency.

Consult an attorney. For any decision that affects your finances or your children, consult a licensed family law attorney in your state.
